SDRP Activities
Special Activities in the
San Dieguito River Park
Saddle up your horse and join Trail Patroller Martin Buncher’s posse for a ride through the San Pasqual Agricultural Preserve on Saturday, July 25th at 8:00 a.m. We’ll begin at the Mule Hill Trail, an historical segment that heads into the San Pasqual Valley and ride up to Raptor Ridge, a point overlooking the entire valley. Bring enough water for you and your mount! The ride is fairly level until we ascend the steeper portion of the trail known as Raptor Ridge.
Exit I-15 at Via Rancho Parkway and go east (right) for ¼ mile. Turn right (traffic light) onto Sunset Drive. Park in gated staging and parking area on the left.

ACTIVITIES
During any given month you may find
offered an easy hike where you can discover more about local plants
and history, an activity filled family trek for kids and their families,
or a vigorous expedition up a steep hillside. Are you an beginning
or experienced mountain biker, kayaker, or equestrian? Keep your
eye out for these occasionally organized Park explorations. Monthly
habitat restoration and trail maintenance projects offer a great
way for older kids to earn community service credit, for high
school and college students to gain valuable career experience "in
the field", and for anyone to support the River Park and its
projects. All activities are free unless otherwise noted and reservations
should be made by calling
(858) 674-2275 x 5.
If you would like to submit an idea for
an activity please email Barbara Baker at Barbara@sdrp.org.
