Planting Trees at the San Dieguito Lagoon
October 17, 2009
Our coastal tree planting project on Saturday, October 17th with the Del Mar Rotary Club was a success! The project, organized by SDRP and Rotarian members Bob Fuchs and Pat Dougherty was made possible with the Rotary Club's generous monetary donation and their time on Saturday morning planting 54 cottonwood trees. Additional volunteer support was provided by Ed Shedley Concrete and Joe Gallegos Trucking and Backhoe. The native trees, planted along the Lagoon Trail, will provide a much needed visual screen from the shopping center to the North of a portion of the trail. See photos below!
