Instructor Butch Baskins of the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association and President of the North County Woodworking Club conducted a session on making keepsake boxes, incorporating multiple species of wood and inlay of burl and assorted stones. He included a hands-on assembly of kit boxes that participants could build on site and then take home. The tools and techniques have changed somewhat over time but the basic process still requires just as much patience!
