Donations
Donate a Plank Program - San Dieguito Coastal Boardwalk. Your $100 donation will be used for interpretive signs, trailwork and wetland restoration adjacent to the trail. There are only 2,400 planks, so don't miss your opportunity to put your name on the boardwalk. Click here to learn more about the program, or just call the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy at 858 755-6956.
Endowment Fund - Through the
kindness of Russell and Lydia Hogan, the Park
received a bequest which was used to establish an endowment fund to help
ensure the future of the San Dieguito River Park. There are many ways you
can use
Estate Planning to direct your giving toward
the goals you care about, while at the same time minimizing the taxes on
the estate you pass to your heirs.

Land Trust Fund - This fund is used for contributions of land,
scenic and conservation easements and structures of cultural or historic
significance within the park planning
area, as well as cash donations earmarked for land acquisition. Two
areas that individuals
and groups have worked to acquire within the San Dieguito River Park
are
Rutherford Ranch and Boden
Canyon and Lake Sutherland East.

Trails Fund - This fund is used for purchasing trail easements;
planning and designing trails; purchasing tools, equipment or labor for
construction and maintenance of trails in the San Dieguito River Park.
The fifty-five miles of linear trails planned from the ocean
at Del Mar to the mountains near Julian, in addition to the many side
trails to points of interest, will significantly contribute to the lives
of the thousands of people who live,
work in and visit San Diego and will use these trails for outdoor exercise,
enjoyment and nature education. See Coast to Crest
Trail.

Education Fund - Contributions to this fund will provide educational
materials and programs for people of all ages, emphasizing the importance
of our natural and cultural resources. This fund may also be used in
the preparation of interpretive signage for planned and proposed projects
such as the San Dieguito Lagoon Wetlands Restoration Project, the restored
Sikes Adobe, the San Pasqual Family Farm, etc.

Piedras Pintadas Fund - This is the fund that provides for the
preservation and protection of the rock art site and surrounding lands known as Piedras
Pintadas. Using
a state grant, with matching funds from the City of San Diego, a Cultural
Resource Management Plan was developed for the site, and extensive interpretive
signage was installed. The San Dieguito River Park is responsible for the
continued protection of Piedras Pintadas. Your contributions will help
us monitor the area, maintain the trails
and signage, and repair and/or replace vandalized signs.
