The River Park has converted from a print-based distribution system to a web-based system. If you are interested in receiving e-mail notices when the quarterly activity schedule is posted to the website, and news of special events occurring in the Park, click above to send us an e-mail.

Coastal Trail

Coastal Trail - The Coastal Trail project consists of 8 segments, totaling about 2 miles. (click on the graphic below for a larger view). Segments 6 through 8 will accommodate hikers, bicyclists and equestrians. Segments 2-5 will accommodate hikers and bicyclists.
Segments 1a & 1b (the Boardwalk) are for pedestrians only.

Segments 1a and 1b are referred to as the "Boardwalk" section. For more information on the Boardwalk, click here.

Segments 2, 3 and 5 are being built by Park Ranger staff. Segments 4a, 4b and 4c, in Caltrans right-of-way will be built
by a contractor. Bids were opened on September 19, 2007, and the contract was awarded on September 21st to the low bidder,
R.J. Bullard Construction. Construction is expected to begin in October and be finished in March 2008.

The R.J. Bullard contract also includes Segment 6 and the Water Quality Treatment Ponds. For more information on the Treatment Ponds, please click here.
