Sikes Adobe Museum Manager,
Anne Cooper

. I grew up in southern California (Los Angeles Co.) and I love California history. I studied anthropology as an undergraduate, and worked in archaeology for about 6 years. Then, after a year in Boston, I fell in love with historic preservation, and later did a master’s degree in history at USD.
I visited the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead on the 16th of October [5 days before the Witch Fire], while returning from Riverside County. I was quite impressed with the work that had been done. I explored the web pages devoted to the Sikes Adobe on the Park’s website, and was amazed at the years of effort and the attention to detail. The wall paper effort alone was staggering, and the results remarkable!
