DEDICATION CEREMONY COMPLETING WETLANDS RESTORATION PROJECT

Southern California Edison, San Diego Gas & Electric and the City of Riverside celebrated the completion of the San Dieguito Wetlands Restoration Project.
After 14 years of research, permitting and construction, the San Dieguito Wetlands Project is complete. The $90 million project is one of the largest coastal restoration projects on the west coast. The estuary will now serve as a fish hatchery and home to migratory waterfowl and endangered species as well as open space for the community to enjoy for generations to come.
Speakers included Gil Alexander, SCE Media Relations, as host. Sherilyn Sarb, California Coastal Commission Deputy Director, Pam Slater-Price, County Supervisor, Dick Bobertz, Executive Director of the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority, Pamela J. Fair, vice president, Environment and Support Services, San Diego Gas & Electric, Pete Dietrich, senior vice president and chief nuclear officer, SONGS, SCE, and Cecil House, senior vice president, Operations Support and chief procurement officer, SCE.
