Directions to Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead

The Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead is located in the City of San Diego, just south of Escondido's Westfield Shoppingtown North County Fair and just north of Rancho Bernardo, on the east side of I-15.

For visitors traveling either north or south bound on I-15, exit at Via Rancho Parkway. Go east on Via Rancho Parkway and turn right at the first light, which is Sunset Drive. Follow Sunset Drive as it curves back toward the freeway. Sunset Drive is a cul de sac, with a parking lot at the end. Park in the parking lot, or if it is full, park along the street.

Walk across the street (to the east), where the Mule Hill/San Pasqual Valley Trail begins. (The other trailhead is the North Shore Lake Hodges Trail - save that for another day).

You can see the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmhouse in front of you. It may not look as you imagine. The adobe room has been newly plastered and whitewashed, and the rest of the house has been beautifully restored.
