Scouts Help Build the Park in 2004
Senior Ranger Todd Stepien, with Scout John Baber, Troop 688, who planted and watered a series of willow bundles at the Strawberry Stand Wetland Learning Center.

Alex Alessandro, Troop 782, planted a native garden for the San Dieguito River Park Office and installed a display box (above) to identify the plants.

Blake Johnson, Troop 668, built an adobe kiosk in front of the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmhouse.

David Stefanik, Troop 622, created an effective trail closure and revegetated native habitat at the Bernardo Bay Natural Area.
Jeffrey Marsch, Troop 766, built benches from recycled plastic lumber at the Strawberry Stand Wetland Learning Center.
Kevin Morris, Troop 669, completed a revegetation project and fencing in the Sycamore Creek watershed.
Nicholas Chambers, Troop 680, built an owl box and erected it at the Strawberry Stand Wetland Learning Center.
John Dudley, Troop 669, built a new routed sign at the entrance to the trail that leads to the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmhouse, and planted Mule Fat at Kit Carson Creek.
Alex Griebel, Troop 616 Finished Project on October 30, 2004
He built and installed four (4) recycled plastic lumber benches and installed them on the Mule Hill Trail (just past the interpretive signs), the River View Section on Mule Hill under a Eucalyptus Tree, and two along the Orange Grove Section.

Alexander Newsome, Troop 681 Finished Project on October 22, 2004
He designed, built, and installed three (3) Burrowing Owl Nest Boxes located in the grasslands Northwest of the Raptor Trail.

Brendan Brinig, Troop 782 Finished Project on November 19, 2004
He designed and built ten (10) Dog Waste Dispenser Boxes, and ten (10) Pamphlet Boxes that will be placed throughout the park.

Craig Tracy, Troop 681 Finished Project on September 4, 2004
He designed, built, and installed three (3) Burrowing Owl Nest Boxes located in the Grassland Section of the San Pasqual Trail, and the Raptor Grasslands Section.

Jay Giddens, Troop 776 Finished Project on November 20, 2004
He designed and built the wooden deck located at the Sycamore Creek Field Office, next to the sheds. It will be used to store the Park's equipment and supplies.
