The JPA will be holding a public scoping meeting to gather comments and input for the preparation of an upcoming Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the W-19 wetland restoration project at the San Dieguito Lagoon. The public scoping meeting will be held on September 9th, 2014 from 6-8pm at the Carmel Valley Public Library, see map. This scoping meeting is one of several ways you can provide comments regarding the scope and content of the Draft EIR.  The Notice of Preparation (NOP) provides information about the project and environmental process required under the California Environmental Quality Act. During the public scoping period (between August 27 and September 26), public agencies, organizations and the general public are invited to comment on the issues they feel should be addressed in the Draft EIR. Comments may be submitted in person at the September 9th scoping meeting, or sent via email or post mail to the JPA by the deadline of September 26, 2014. More information about the proposed W-19 Restoration Project and Notice of Preparation for the Draft EIR can also be found here.
