We had a great count this month of 121 species, including 2 new ones. Vesper Sparrow was seen in Area 3, and Acorn Woodpecker was found in Area 5. This brings our cumulative total to 251 species!

The featured image this month is of a Acorn Woodpecker taken by Ranger David Hekel. This bird is common in the River Park and can be found year-round collecting acorn seeds.
