In December we had a total of 118 species, no change in the cumulative total. We are still at 249 species overall. This month also marks the 11th year of bird counts within the San Dieguito Lagoon. Big thanks to everyone that donated their time over the years to document all the great birds that we encounter within the parks corridor!!

The featured image this month is of the Wilson’s Warbler a seasonal visitor to the Lagoon and other areas of the San Dieguito River Park. These little birds can be found darting in and out of the willows around the Lagoon. Be quick or you could easily miss them.
