…well, sort of. On Friday, the San Dieguito River Park JPA Board of Directors and members of the public gathered at the new ranger station under construction at the San Dieguito Lagoon and wetland restoration project. The contractor Dewain Baker of Baker Design/Build gave the background on the building’s design and a tour of the facility.
Since there was technically a quorum of board members present and the meeting was publicly announced pursuant to the Brown Act, Vice-Chairwoman and City of San Diego Councilmember Barbara Bry convened the meeting at 11:20am, there was no public comment, and the meeting was adjourned at 11:21am.
Pictured in the photo below are board members Dwight Worden (Del Mar), Olga Diaz (Escondido), Dave Grosch (Poway), Barbara Bry (San Diego), Dustin Fuller (22nd Ag Dist.). Also present were Dewain Baker (Contractor – far right), JPA Counsel Wayne Brechtel and Felicia Brechtel, members of Friends of the San Dieguito River Valley and the Del Mar Lagoon Committee, Crystal Benham from the County Department of Parks and Recreation and Julie Klein of the San Diego Trails Alliance.
