The Coast to Crest Trail through the eastern half of Del Mar Horsepark is closed due to river bank failure causing the trail to fall into the river. Trail users heading east should turn around at the Horsepark interpretive kiosk. There is no through access to El Camino Real, and the entrance at El Camino Real is closed.

Update 1/21/16:
The trail section will be closed for the duration of the rainy season and until a plan is developed to rebuild/relocate the trail. Although rebuilding this section of trail is constrained by environmental and permit conditions, proximity to the river, and funding limitations, the JPA is committed to ensuring the connectivity and sustainability of the Coast to Crest Trail.
