The goal of the San Dieguito Citizen Science Monitoring Program is to create a sustainable, cost-effective, scientifically-valid monitoring protocol specifically for the San Dieguito River Park that can be carried out by volunteer citizen scientists. The program will gather critical data to inform land management, restoration, land purchases and trail building decisions while encouraging community involvement and engagement. The program is designed to align with existing regional plans and monitoring protocols in order to provide useful data that is consistent between local jurisdictions and agencies.
