Re-construction of the Sikes Adobe Creamery is proceeding, with funding provided by the Friends of Sikes Adobe and the County of San Diego at the recommendation of 3rd District Supervisor Dave Roberts. In addition, we’ve received donated materials – Portland cement and masonry sand from RCP Block, through owner Mike Finch, and donated services from Pete Camarda, mason and instructor at Montgomery Adult School. They completed the east and west walls, installed window headers, and then completed the north and south gable ends, per supervisor David Phillips’ directions. These pictures were taken November 9th.
