After the huge success of the Introduction to Wildlife and Landscape Photography classes in September, October, and November 2017, the San Dieguito River Park and KS Nature Photography is offering intermediate and advanced classes starting in January 2018.
Nature Photography Field Workshop I – For Intermediate Photographers
Join professional Nature Photographer Krisztina with KS Nature Photography and Senior Park Ranger David Hekel with SDRP as we photograph the wildlife and landscape around Lake Hodges, CA. During this 5 hour workshop you will receive great tips, location guidance, help with your camera and photography, and more. Open to all ages, this class is for intermediate nature photographers ready to take their photography to the next level.
Equipment requirements: DSLR or mirrorless camera (any brand), Tripod.
Recommended, but not required: wide angle lens, split ND filters, cable release for your camera.
Meet at 7:00am – 5 hours total
Location: Del Dios Community Park or east side of Lake Hodges. Final meet up will be emailed to participants a few days before workshop. Up to 3 mile easy walk.

Nature Photography Field Workshop II – For Advanced Photographers
Join professional Nature Photographer Krisztina with KS Nature Photography and Senior Park Ranger David Hekel with SDRP as we photograph the wildlife and landscape around Lake Hodges, CA. Open to all ages, this class is for the advanced nature photographers. We will start with a sunrise photo session, then after a coffee break we will move on to other areas of the lake for wildlife and landscape photography. We will be concentrating on the rushing Grebes on Lake Hodges and other wildlife. During this 6 hour workshop you will receive location guidance, tips, and one-on-one professional tutoring, if required.
Equipment Requirements: DSLR or mirrorless camera (any brand), tripod, wide angle lens.
Recommended, but not required: split ND filters, cable release for your camera.
Meet at 6:00am – 6 hours total
Location: Del Dios Community Park or along Lake Dr. Final meet up will be emailed to participants a few days before workshop. Up to 3 mile easy walk.

Adobe Lightroom Basics
Adobe Lightroom offers a world of valuable tools to the digital photographer. Adobe Lightroom was designed to make your post-production process efficient and help you achieve consistently professional results. This class will be your quick start into this program, and we will cover the basics from import to export, library and develop module, and how to adjust images for maximum impact.
Equipment recommended: laptop with Adobe Lightroom Classic or CC 6.0 or higher.
If you don’t have a computer to use for this course, you’re welcome to attend the class for the information, but please be aware that you’ll be limited in being able to do some of the in-class exercises.
