Volunteering at the Sikes Adobe is a great way to give back to your community! Whether working with school children, or providing tours of the 1880’s farmhouse to the public on a Sunday afternoon, your time with us will be appreciated.
The Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead benefits from the sharing of your skills, knowledge and interests. We have recently expanded our tour offerings to include the replicated adobe Creamery outbuilding, and have a need for people who enjoy any one of a number of activities including research, working with the public, gardening, selling our vegetables at the Farmers’ Market, community outreach and more.
Perhaps you or someone you know is looking for community service opportunities – Sikes Adobe could be that place! We are a great location for Scout projects, too! Our mission includes preservation, interpretation and education. Dive into the stories behind this North San Diego County location, and help us make history! For information, email San Dieguito River Park, Sikes Adobe Museum Manager at anne@sdrp.org. The Sikes Adobe is located at the gateway to the San Pasqual Valley, just south of Via Rancho Parkway, at 12655 Sunset Drive, Escondido, 92025.
