Starting Wednesday, September 7, 2016, a temporary trail detour between Jimmy Durante Blvd. and the Coast to Crest Trail will be in place to take trail users around the work site of Phase II of the Del Mar Fairgounds South Overflow Lot Wetlands Restoration Project. As part of a compromise reached with the California Coastal Commission last year, about half of the San Dieguito Lagoon Boardwalk will be removed to accommodate more wetlands. A new, permanent segment of the Coast to Crest Trail will be constructed after the restoration project is finished. For more details, please read the flier below.
