Palomar Audubon Society Trip Leaders guide birders around different areas of Lake Hodges, like Del Dios Community Park, the Boat Dock, and Bernardo Bay, every year in March, October, and November. The list of bird species seen is then posted on the PAS website. SDRP has compiled the lists from 2013-2016 into a PDF document that can be viewed by clicking here. A cumulative total of 125 different species of birds have been seen over the past four years.
The featured image of a California Towhee, one of the few species seen during every bird walk, was taken at Bernardo Bay in May 2016 by SDRP Trail Patrol Volunteer Ginni Kitchen.
